Oh! You Pretty Things.

A screenprint and poster exhibition of music icons by Vincent McEvoy.

After graduating from Liverpool Art College, contemporary artist Vincent McEvoy made a name for himself with his award winning album artwork for Polydor artists -The Who and Eric Clapton. Following this early success, McEvoy worked for esteemed advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather, in both London and Madrid, working on campaigns for large-scale clients including Guinness, Polaroid, American Express and Ford.

In the 1980s, McEvoy worked with the Godfather of Silkscreen printing, Andy Warhol. This inspirational relationship sparked McEvoy’s passion for the tactile, screen printing process, which continues to inform his practice today. His work is driven by icons of the twentieth century and his vibrant prints reflect the Pop Art scene from which they have emerged, while carving out new aesthetic directions for contemporary print making. McEvoy has received numerous D&AD and NYADC awards, as well as the Direct Marketing Award in 2000. His work was shown at the Victoria & Albert Museum, as part of their ‘Rewind – 40 years of the best UK Advertising & Design’ exhibition in 2002. Recent projects have included commissions for BT and Conde Nast, as well as prize winning advertising pieces for Lever, Philips and Nikon.

The exhibition will run during weekdays from Wednesday 13th March to Friday 12th April, from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Limited edition prints and posters will be available to purchase.

For the length of this exhibition, 100 signed limited edition prints of David Bowie will be sold for £100.00, with 10% of sales going to Teenage Cancer Trust. After the exhibition on the 12th April, the price will increase to £200.00 with 10% going to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
