Taste is the subject of the new issue of ARTLAB. Now that Christmas dinner is well and truly out of the way for another year, wet your taste buds with the delicious pages of this very special 40th issue.
The cover has been printed on a new stock from the Fabriano Collection, Cocktail (Mai Tai 290g) but it's the text pages that have got our appetites going. Enticing images of wine labelling and chocolate packaging pop out on the glossy pages of Symbol Freelife Gloss 150gsm. Then comes the sheer quality of the uncoated Century Cotton Wove 120gsm, this mouth-watering blend of papers and tantalising topics make for a delicious read.

People from other Planet | Portrait of Bill Gates
This portrait of Bill Gates by Orticanoodles is a limited edition work of art, part of a project made up of 15 pieces, with a different colour for each one.
Measuring 70×100 cm, each piece has been spray-painted and is a hand cut stencil on 220gsm Fedrigoni paper!
Some say it looks like E.T. What do you think?

London Showroom Christmas Closure
The London showroom will be from closed from Friday afternoon, 16th December, and re-opening on Tues 3rd January, 2012.

NEW IN THE SHOWROOM: ARTLAB 39
One of the most important tasks entrusted to graphic design is the ability to present the contents of communication… and so ’The ability to present’ is the focus of the latest issue of ARTLAB.
The cover of Artlab 39 showcases Sirio Color Nero 290gsm, which is now certified for Indigo printing. To demonstrate this, an HP Indigo 5500 machine was used to print, hit several times with white before the four-colour print run.
Sirio Color Nero 290gsm is a card coloured in the pulp that exudes intense, deep, dark black and is the first paper in the world to receive certification directly from the hands of HP Indigo.
Inside the magazine, the text pages have been printed on a mixture of Symbol Tatami White 115gsm and Bodonia Avorio 120gsm.

A Concertina of Colour
We have produced a set of colourful cards using our Sirio Color and Sirio Color Embossed range of papers.
Produced as a set of 10, each card highlights the vast array of services we offer, including bespoke envelopes and special mill makings.
Designed by Design LSC and printed by Team Impression, each has been beautifully foiled and printed in metallic silver and opens out via a concertina fold.

The World's Biggest Coffee Morning with Fedrigoni

Graphic Design Walk
GraphicBirdWatching is hosting an exclusive 'graphic design walk' through East London's graphic design studios, celebrating the work and practices of London's female designers. The doors of 15 studios will be open during the London Design Festival, and in addition will have a key venue, which will offer a great starting point for the walk - featuring special installations, exhibitions and workshops by acclaimed independent freelancers. Visitors will be equipped with a map and detailed information for their walk.
In the evening all contributors and visitors will be invited to celebrate with music and drinks at the main venue.

London Design Festival
London’s leading annual design event, the London Design Festival, takes place around the capital from 17th September until 25 September.
With more than 200 events, many of them free, the festival promises to offer something for everyone interested in design. Graphics-led events include The V&A Illustration Awards, running until December, an Alan Fletcher exhibition at the Kemistry Gallery, the Society of Bookbinders International Competition results exhibition at the V&A from 6 September - 30 October, and Making Believe, showcasing the latest innovations from a rich mix of Goldsmiths Postgraduate Design Students, at Goldsmiths College. Exhibitions will be supplemented and supported by numerous discussions and gallery talks.

NEW IN THE SHOWROOM: ARTLAB 38
This month's issue of ARTLAB focuses on packaging and how it is used as a medium for flamboyantly presenting and showcasing mess ages .
The cover of the latest issue showcases Sirio Pearl Blend. A dual-colour laminated selection of boards, with a pearl finish. Choose from Black/Orange, Black/Bronze, Orange/Bronze and Black/White in 260gsm.
ARTLAB 38 uses the Black/White combination; the white side has been offset printed, whilst the black side screen printed.
Inside the magazine, the text pages have been printed on a mixture of Stucco Old Mill Gesso and our NEW Arcoprint Milk. Additionally, inside you will find an insert printed on SOHO Xerography Symbol Pearl Ice, in collaboration with Cannon.

The publishers event of the year: Wallpaper* Handmade - the launch!
We recently gave all you creative designers the chance to design your own bespoke front cover for the popular Wallpaper magazine. Wallpaper's cover is usually sacred territory but as part of the Wallpaper Handmade project we were allowed to place the precious front cover in your hands!
To launch the 2011 August issue of Wallpaper Handmade we will be holding a special event where you will be able to pick up your complimentary copy of the magazine with your very own bespoke cover. This project will also be celbrated with an exhibition of selected front covers and discussion by Meirion Pritchard (creative director of Wallpaper).

NEW: In the showroom!
Launching soon is a limited edition book solely dedicated to Hotels.
Paper can often be found throughout your stay at any hotel: from the lavish brochure to a personal note on arrival, from restaurant menus to shampoo packaging. With this in mind, and with the help of Thomas Manns & Company we have produced a book containing a selection of these little hotel luxuries.
It’s a wonderful book, printed on some of our most beautiful stocks of paper. Why not pop into the showroom and see for yourself?

Hot Off the Press - ARTLAB 37
The latest issue of ARTLAB has been delivered to the London Showroom and is now available for all you lovely people!
In case you didn't know, ARTLAB is an Italian magazine providing multi-disciplinary updates in the world of graphic design and imagery, written in both English and Italian.
The cover of the latest issue showcases the new Constellation Snow Fluid embossing 240gsm printed in a lovely sky blue colour. Our Constellation Snow range of papers stands out distinctly for its high degree of whiteness and toughness, and is available in six different grammages (90 to 400).
Inside the magazine, pages 1-32 have been printed on Symbol Tatami Ivory 115g, pages 33-48 on Canova Extra White 120g and pages 49-64 on Tintoretto Ceylon Crystal Salt 140g.

Hot off the press!
Our NEW white paper promotional books have just been delivered! This 420x297mm book demonstrates just how beautifully print works on our collection of special papers with the use of some rather entertaining images.
The book features a collection of our finest white papers including Arcoprint, Sirio White/White, Savile Row Plain, Old Mill and Freelife Vellum plus many more. Complete with a rubber band binding, the book allows you to remove each sheet allowing you to touch and inspect them more closely, or even use it as your very own wall poster! :-D

A Love Sonnet retold by Fedrigoni
