Simon Esterson wins for Pulp!
At a glittering awards cermony (16 Nov) at The Brewery, London, Simon Esterson won ‘Art Director of the Year – Business’ for Fedrigoni’s Pulp at the BSME (British Society of Magazine Editors) Awards 2105.
This was one of just three art direction awards up for grabs at the BSME’s prestigious annual magazine awards. In a hotly contested category, Pulp beat stiff competition from Work, Economia, Estates Gazette and Modus.
Presenter Alexander Armstrong explained why Pulp won: ‘The judges felt the winning art director had produced an elegant and very engaging magazine with great visuals. A really beautiful example of editorial design.’
The judging panel for this year’s awards included creative director Violetta Boxill-Roope, Kaldor’s Jonathan Clayton-Jones and Telegraph women’s editor Emma Barnett, among others.
Launched in 2014, Pulp, a quarterly journal of people and paper, is produced by Eye magazine for Fedrigoni.
