Debut Illustrated LFW Panorama
London based illustrator Lo Parkin made her debut into both the fashion and illustration worlds with her unique response to London Fashion Week (LFW). Parkin's limited edition, hand-drawn leporello publication entitled “London Fashion Week an Illustrated Panorama” took 593 hours to complete.
This hand-rendered labour of love consists of 57 illustrations lithographically printed onto Fedrigoni Tintoretto in Gesso paper (140g/m) and Sirio Color in Limone (80g/m). 250 copies of the leporello publication are signed by the illustrator to make her debut into the industry as an emerging artist. Maintaining the beauty of hand-rendered processes in a digital age, Lo's detailed monochrome illustration's capture why these processes should be celebrated and kept alive.
Graduating in 2012 from The London College of Communication with a degree in Graphic Communication, Parkin is currently based in London and works as a freelance illustrator and editor at People of Print.
Lo's aesthetic and style is defined by a hand-drawn, highly detailed, monochrome output with a deep focus regarding the communication of texture and finer details throughout her hand-drawn imagery and type.
Specialising in illustration, fashion illustration and type, Lo's inspiration roots from architecture, structures, fashion, and urban cultures.
